US Financer is an independent publication run under its own name. It takes no money from the companies it writes about, and its editors answer to no one but readers. This page explains how the site is funded, what it refuses to do, and what would happen if any of that ever changed.
Who runs US Financer
US Financer is operated as an independent publication under the US Financer name. It is not owned by a bank, a lender, a card issuer, a fintech company, an exchange, or a marketing network. No outside company has a stake in the site or a say in what gets published.
The site is new. We would rather be clear about that than dress it up. What we can offer from day one is a straightforward set of rules about money and influence, written down here so you can hold us to them.
What we do not accept
We take no payment of any kind from the industries we cover. That includes:
- Banks, credit unions, and online lenders
- Credit card issuers and card networks
- Budgeting, investing, and payment apps
- Cryptocurrency exchanges and brokers
- Debt relief, debt settlement, and credit repair companies
- Insurance providers
- Any other company, product, or service that appears in our coverage
No company can pay to be reviewed, pay for a better rating, pay to be left out of a critical piece, or pay to be mentioned at all.
No affiliate links
Many personal finance sites earn a commission when a reader clicks a link and opens an account or applies for a card. We do not do this. There are no affiliate links anywhere on US Financer.
That matters because affiliate commissions quietly shape which products get recommended. A card that pays a publisher $200 per approval tends to rank higher than a card that pays nothing, even when the second card is better for most readers. Removing that incentive is the simplest way to keep recommendations honest.
No sponsored articles or paid placements
Nothing on this site is sponsored. We do not publish articles written or funded by companies, we do not sell “featured” spots in comparison tables, and we do not run paid rankings of any kind. If a product is listed first, it is because the editors judged it best for the situation described, not because someone paid for that position.
No lead generation
We never collect loan applications, pre-qualification forms, or quote requests on behalf of lenders or other companies. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with marketers. You will not fill out a form on US Financer only to be called by a sales team later.
Who makes editorial decisions
Editorial decisions are made by the editors alone. That covers which topics we write about, which products we recommend or warn against, how we rate them, and when we correct or update a piece. No advertiser, partner, or outside interest is involved, because there are none.
When we say a product has high fees, a confusing structure, or a poor track record, we are free to say so plainly. When we say a product is worth considering, that judgment has not been purchased.
If anything ever changes
We are committed to the rules above, and we also want to be realistic about the future. If US Financer ever introduces a new way to support the site, such as clearly labeled advertising, this page will say so before it happens.
Two commitments would hold in that case:
- Any advertising would be clearly labeled as advertising, visibly separated from editorial content.
- Advertisers would have no influence over what we cover, what we recommend, or how we rate anything.
We will not add affiliate links, sponsored articles, paid placements, or lead generation forms without updating this page first. If you ever see something on the site that looks like it contradicts what is written here, we want to know.
Why this page exists
Personal finance advice is only useful if you can trust that it is written for you rather than for a company’s marketing budget. Publishing our funding rules in plain language, and promising to update them before anything changes, is how we try to earn that trust. We would rather grow slowly on those terms than quickly on worse ones.
